Installation
Decide on your installation package and install it. Remember to DELETE OLD MDS INSTALLATIONS AND ALL FRICTION MODS YOU MIGHT HAVE! After you are done with that, download and extract MDS i18n file to some temporary location. You have 4 files there. COPY content of those files to files in your STD\i18n folder in your MODS folder. Remember, copy CONTENT, not the whole files. If you don't do that, you'll have strange text in MDS menues and hud messages.

I also advise you to check your old missions for compatibility. There were some changes done in capturing department, so pay special attention to that.

Noob question of the day (sorry, couldn't find it in other posts)  :

I left the folder name as "-MODS", if I remove the "-" to enable, IL-2 loads to about 70% and crashes to desktop.  Given that, will adding the content to the i18n files in the -MODS\STD\i18n do anything?  What happens if I copy the content into the files in the FILES\i18n\ folder?

Are you talking about stand-alone one or UP version?

The installation procedure above is for stand alone only. UP installation is processed through UP 2.01 updater, really nice feature.

I was referring to the stand-alone version.  I since downloaded UP 2.01 updater and installed through that.  It updated files in the Files\i18n folder so it looks like those are the important ones.  The only difference I saw was that the hud_log.properties file was missing the last section referenced in the stand-alone content for that file, but that is easy to add manually.

Thanks for the awesome mod, it really helps a couple of noobs learn to fly together without having to constantly reload co-op missions, it saves a lot of time.

Great... I installed this directly into the IL2 1946 folder. Am I screwed?  I'm not hip to the computer lingo in the install instructions above.  The browse box all ready had a path to IL2 1946, so I used it. I'm not seeing 1.13 in the JSGME.exe icon.  Where does this file go?

STD stands for stand alone and should as such be extracted to your MODS folder. It is not meant to be used with UP pack. So, since you wrote that it does not show in your JSGME.exe i presume you are using HSFX and in that case all I can say is bad luck. No version will work with it (or to say it better, was not tested with HSFX).
