Potential Server-Host for Dedicated Server with UP 2.0 ?!

Hey guys,

thanks for all the help here in this great little "Linux - IL2 Dedicated Server" forum.

The reason why I post here now is that I am searching for a low priced dedicated server solution for my squad. The little addition "low priced" directed me automaticly to Linux, of course.

I read the instructions to set up a Linux dedicated and it seems that it is archieveable.

So I searched for a potential Server-Hoster. My first result:

Is this setup good enough for a dedicated server with ultrapack 2.0 and zuti mod?

You have problem with that server, CPU  750 MHz is I think too low for dedicated server and 1 GB of RAM is also low spec for IL-2 server

Is your squad mainly located in Europe or North America, or where?

You may want to look at servers that are close to home to reduce ping times.

My squad (MAG-13) uses this place for a dedicated server.

There is no additional cost for a Windows 2003 (web edition) based system.  We use the Intel Atom based system for 99 USB per month.  No setup fee.

Yes, never rent server without som ping statistics ... for example try youand your squad mates to ping web server of possible dedicated servers ... for example try to ping from console

We are located all over the world, but mainly europe and north america

The idea with the ping testing is great and simple, we will do that.

Currently I am trying to install il2 dedicated under linux on a testserver, lets see if I can get it!

btw: I got 38 ms on www.server4you.de, best results so far. but lets see what the americans in my squad say

And don't look only one ping results. You need to look at average of all sent pings and you also want to avoid big ping anomalies for example:
