*******************************************************************************************
A map representing Darwin, Australia from 1942-43. 4x Allied bases & 2x Axis bases. Includes a fictional offshore Axis base/island to the north-west of the Darwin.

All new original custom textures and objects by Neil Lowe.

=================================
Installation:
=================================

See Readme file included in download...

=================================
Notes:
=================================
This map uses ZUTI's Airfield friction mod to enable landing and take-off from the two textured airfields. (RAAF Darwin & Parap) Using ZUTI's MDS mod enables this automatically. Alternatively you can use the standalone version of the airfield friction mod available from the Ultrapack website. http://ultrapack.il2war.com/index.php
Compatible only with "modded" IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 v4.09 onwards.
For use with either "Perfect" and "Excellent" settings.
Recommended conf.ini settings: Forest=2 LandGeom=2
Tested with original v4.09 *.dlls (use of others may show unexpected results)

G'day all ;)

A small fix (see first post) has been posted to remove a few fences that were at the end of one of Paraps runways.....ooops!!

If you downloaded the map before 02/09/10 just download and replace the actors.static you have installed with the one in the archive.

You don't need the fix if you download after the date and time of this post ;)

Cheers, Neil :)

hi Neal; just downloaded your UP version and ready to install just wondering if I'm doing all right...
I run 1946 UP201 with "SAS modfolder 4 UP201" (basically a ready made STD folder inside MODS containing com, gui with latest SAS buttons and i18n as well as a SFS file) then a mapmods folder containing a maps folder (_Tex inside) as well a 3do folder.
Am I right if I put the UP version in MODS/mapmods or I do have to create a "files" folder inside MODS where to put 3do and maps folder contained in your UP version zipped file?
Thks for clarifying and best regards!
Gianluca

PS: (beautiful map!) installed first putting it in MODS/mapmods as I did with all of the maps I added in my UP install but noticed trees in the sea in many points south of Darwin

Hiya,

Posting a pic would probably help to visualise what you're seeing, but at a guess they would probably be "simulated mangroves" Sadly, theres no other way of creating mangroves ingame.

Cheers, Neil :)
