Graphics settings

Hello:

I am not the brightest tool in the shed, but I was wondering if there is a work around to set "just" the water detail to perfect.  I have an old rig and when I set the landscape detail to perfect I get a big FPS hit.  The problem is when I set it to low I get a good FPS but I am unable to spot planes very well when flying over water.

PS  How do I get rid of all the smiley's at the top of the page when writing a post??  the lag is killing my typing:)

It seems, that your computer is to old and slow to handle the perfect mode. Have a look at the config.ini file in your main game folder and try to tweak your graphic settings:

Your fantastic, that is exactly what I've been looking for.  I saw that some time ago and I couldn't find it.  I told you I wasn't the brightest tool in the shed:))  Now how do I get rid of those annoying smiley's on my "reply to topic" page??

Also I have two AMD Radeon HD Series.
But I can't play on full screen.

To get rid of smileys:

*click on reply to start the post.

*Have a look under your writing box/window

*Click on "+ Additional options"

*Select "Don't use smileys"

I'm not really sure. Guess, that this problem doesn't appear on other games?
My offer: Slow the resolution down, step by step until you reach full screen.

There's a knob in the settings panel that shows full screen or window.  If that's not the problem, I would tweak the resolution, but your screen might be too tall or wide for the game too, my laptop is like that.
