So what's up with "The UP 3.1 (the final version of UP 3.0RC)  expected in 2-3 weeks at most." ?

Exactly.... :good:   Hades, YOU need to answer this question since you opened Pandoras Box making this announcement originally.

That´s exactly the problem if people push you to an answer!
The development process is not quite predictable, since there are always issues on the way that you don´t expect or foresee.

But now you come along and want a fixed release date, not having learned that the date is not fixable.

Maybe an RC5 wont be that bad idea, in general it speeds debugging and keep people busy.

You most surely have a lot of things ready by now, but now and then you hit the wall with problems on things that were supposed to be already done.

Be flexible, don't get over ambitious with the final result.

And as confusing as general bug reports are, in the end you still get things that would be much more difficult to find buy a reduced group of betatesters.

Even being overenthusiastic, and demanding, in the end they are the ones that will enjoy all this with yourselves.

Last I heard there were security issues being worked on. Which is fine by me - my sole enjoyment of IL-2 is mostly from Multiplayer Online Wars. Since back the in days of VEF some russian squads came up with great ways of cheating - my favorite was to make stock skins change color based on your range to whomever had the cheat (...and the host by default). November 2001 was a great time! Hades don't let these young calfs stress you out - take all the time you need.

To the modelers: can you guys make a more beautiful model of pilot's parachute?(as close to reality regarding aspect and flight model and even damage model). It's not funny with one bullet sent into the canvas, to destroy an entire parachute... :(
The default one that we have in the game as pilots, it's quite ugly and still, even when it is open 100% it still can kill you, if you jump at low altitudes..."smashing" you to the ground. Result: pilot killed.
So, can we please have some very nice improvements here?
Thank you for your entire UP work!  :good:

To admin & moderators: sorry I was off-topic, please place my post to a proper place.

Some USAAF pilots reported they fought "yellow nose FW-190" over Romania, but in fact they were fighting "yellow nosed" romanians IAR80 and IAR 81a/81c. These airplanes were inferior to FW 190 or Me-109.

If you have written software, Then you know how hard the process can be, The process of writing sofeware is a long process. These guys are doing all this on there own time, not getting paid so we can have the best Sim in the world. I would like to say these guys are the greatest, look at all they have done for us free. So back off it will be done when it is done. There I said my piece go UP.

UP team has my support, without you guys I would never have been able to fly such a huge list of planes, most of which would've been 'unflyable' if i had stuck to stock game.

After reading through this thread I have come to notice that there is no posts that state a true development status. I was wondering what y'all are currently working on and what y'alls estimate to be ready to release 3.1, I understand that yall can't give an exact date or time but just an approximate or educated guess on the release.
