B-52 bomber

i want to be able to fly around in a B-52 bomber, dropping several tons worth of explosives on tanks and cars, and even planes taking off.

I think this game should stay WWII.  That's why I bought it.  I would rather not have ten nukes being dropped like 100 lb. bombs.

I say no, but I must admit it would be awesome to have a bomber that is too fast to chase, (and even if you could, the 20mm multibarrel cannon at the back will destroy anything that comes close) , a bombload that can flatten a whole city and the most advanced bombsight in the game.

Is not the B-29 a great bomber? It also drops "nukes", and lay waste to the cities of
the poor AI people in the IL-2-Land.
Why ask for another bomber?
And besides, the B-29 is much better than the B-52 when it comes to
good looks. The B-52 will never look great if it was built with shiny chrome metal, only the B-29 has that honor!

As much as great it would be to have the B-52, I dont think  theres enough runway in any of the maps for it. plus the guys in it would be assholes and fly at the games max altitude ALL THE DAM TIME!!!

I have another thing to add, there this NO way to catch up to this thing unless you are using the jets that come with the mods, and that would still be hard because of the age difference.  No one allows jets on servers anyway.

Guys, you don't want it, you don't fly it, you cannot prohibit others from using/making a mod because YOU decided that they are not allowed to have it.

Look at the SAS and Free Il-2 Modding - we've got supersonic jets over there - we destroyed you, we broke your PORHIBITION and you can do nothing to us.

I'm sick of people saying "you can't do this mod, you're not allowed to!" I say it would be awesome, bc there are no jet bombers anywhere, and only target for all those late, missile carrying Frescos, or even upcoming MIG-21 is B-29.

It starts to remind those old days back on AAA where every innovation turned into burn-the-herectic thread. I won't go play Lock-On bc I'm used to IL-2 controls and graphics, and I love the idea of jets in IL-2. I mainly play middle-50's jets, bud I have nothing against such projects as Phantom or Fishbed.

Not to mention that IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 with mods is currently the only game in which you can fly Korean Era planes, all the other sims of that era are too aged to be even playable.

There are actually jet bombers, the German bomber the Ar-234 I think is it's name.  It's quite good.

While I'm all for the adding of early jets to IL2, the B-52 didn't enter service until 1955. The Korean was was over in 1953. So If added, it would be more of a "what if" plane like the Horton 229 as far as the Korean conflict goes. But how cool would that be!
 I lived at Ellsworth AFB in the 90's and 52's, f-15 and F-16's would scream over my base housing every day. B-29's are great and more Korean air war era but I'd love to see a 52 mod just for sh*ts and giggles.

FJ-3M entered service in 1956 and it's in UP3. Besides MiG-21 is coming and B-52, even AI only, would be a perfect target for interception. End even before it comes out, we still could chase it with MiG-17PF (from 1956 as well), at least it would present some chalange. And MiG-19 is beta is out as well. AFAIK Ranwers had some 3D for B-52.
