I finally have finished a few more missions.  This new Pack includes all of the missions in my first pack with updates to fix some things as noted in the readme file.
  • 2 KTO (Korea) Jet Missions - These are a hoot!  Spawn in a hanger! Dogfight Jets!  Play Capture the Base?  And Battle for Seoul
  • 2 Summer Slovakia Missions - This map is beautiful!
  • 2 Winter Slovakia Missions - Winter never looked so good!
  • 1 Midway Japanese Attack Mission - Wave after wave of Jap attacks! (this one is a favorite!)
  • 1 English Channel D-Day Invasion Mission
It also includes these 4 new MDS Missions:
  • Palau Defense
  • Sinai Tank Battle
  • Slovakia WW1
  • Slovina Mtn Valley
>> Download Here! <<

Do you have Zuti running when you are editing the mission?

When I am editing missions in the FMB, I only have these mods enabled:
00_FMBPlus
00_6DOF_Tracker_4GBVersion (You many not need this, or may need one of the others for more memory)
01_Zuti_MDS_v1.13_UP

I also have my graphics Landscape Detail set to Perfect, not Excellent.  This caused a Memory Leak and game crash on my pc.

Hey Snacko,
good tip, works with 00_FMBPlus & 01_Zuti_MDS_v1.13_UP.

Thanks

Snacko, great missions.  I have one question, though.  How did you get the test 4 runway to act as a home base in the English Channel D-Day mission so that planes can spawn on it?  I've tried that on other maps and the planes always air spawn and crash.

Hi  352ndDeacon, I'm not snacko, but maybe I could be of some help here, as far as airstarts & test runway4 goes  ;)

In the tips & tutorials section, you can download a folder with some test missions that I made, which includes an airstart test mission. Where in the brief I give the minimum height & speed for the different seaplanes.

By the way I know "AJ's test missions" is a corny, crap title for the folder & makes me cringe every time I see it, but I couldn't think of anything else to call it  :-\

I'm looking for instructions to use the test 4 runway so that planes can spawn on it at sea level and use it as if it was a runway on the ocean.  Is that covered in your tutorial?

Sorry, I was on vacation.

You can also try www.il2-FullMissionBuilder.com.  Not sure if they talk about those test runways, but that is an awesome site...

WARNING

Many of the missions created before the release of UP3.0 will not work, especially if they contain Ship Pack carriers, used as moving home bases.
This is because in UP3.0 all of the ships have been consolidated into one list.

We all need to update our missions anyway, which I for one still need to do  :-[

Changing those missions is very simple:
Use a DF server with 3.0, start there the mission.
The server will tell you which objects are faulty (client don't do!)
Now you know which ships or whatever will not be seen.
Now use the normal FMB and choose a fast loading map.
Into there you put the objects or ships or whatever you need, but do it one by one for a better reworking.
Now safe this mission.
Open both missions with an editor (I use notepad++)
Replace now the new name of the stored object with the one in the old map, that's it, if you start now the map you will see them.
Most important thing is, never save an old version map with 3.0!
3.0 will delete automaticly those faulty entries and all your names, and chief roads are lost!
Use as mentioned above a DF server first to see if the map would run without problems.

Forgot one thing:
Some squadron names are also affected and will be shown too.

Hi folks:

Just need a clarification here.

WARNING

This is for JUST this ZUTI's MDS right? I never had MDS before but do have several boatloads of co-op missions that I'd like to convert over to UP3.0 - not necessarily into this MDS. I can just copy/paste those into the Missions>Net>coop>[folder] making sure to keep the new UP text at the top and bottom of the old mission?

Oh, partial answer to my question: I'll HAVE to change the ShipPack ships or they won't work. Okay, got that part.

Thanks for the patience.

I had a hard time landing on a 170 mph carrier lol. Great missions. Could you list all your missions here?  Have you updated all your MDS missions and if so will they still work in 2.01 most of my squad still flies 2.01. Trying to get them to run 3.0, but some have old computers and slow internet speeds. Hard to download large files.

That is what torrent are for,
you do not need super Pc's to download a torrent

even lousy internet connections can benifit from using torrents
compared to trying to get static downloads

some have old computers and slow internet speeds. Hard to download large files.

Hmm, weird that I only received the email notification of this post today...  This does not happen with other sites, so not sure what is going on..

But one of the major changes that I had to make to my missions to work with UP 3 was simply to delete certain stationary objects that really had nothing to do with the missions themselves.  So, I think they should all work fine with UP 2.01...

Thanks fellow mission builders.
