Try this il2fb.exe . I changed the 6Dof il2fb.exe so it may support TIR.
Give it a try. back up your il2fb.exe from your 6DOFTir mod and put this instead. Please post your feedback.
This is client's il2fb.exe and NOT Server's one.

1GB version seems to work fine on our server. Out of curiosity, is there any plan to create an a client-side version somewhere down the line? Could be useful in solving some of the crashes that occur when in FMB on a very large map with lots of objects and flights.

For client version check here:

Hades, you did again!!! Dam guy you are a genius.
I've just put the new il2fb.exe ion HFSX and run Black Death track ......  ;D

Runs faster than never. On start I used to have 120fps average with your new 182fps!!!
In first attack (vehicles column) I used to have 190fps now 222fps!!

God bless you guy. <S>

edit: flying off line with Freetrack quick mission "109E vs P-40B, MIG, HURRICANEi, P-36"
fps was 126 now 226fps. Works fine.

Ignore the ship messages. They are harmless and do not affect anything.

what about server non response? Is anyone else seeing this?

Seems fairly random, any map, small ai numbers or large ai numbers, sometimes they run through and rotate. however there seems to be a pile of errors in DS window, internal errors, when the DS jams.

I could run a week with my own server version, parts from SAS and so forth.
Sorry but I am finding the DS totally unreliable.

You should post it in the DF Server troubleshooting section.
Anyway, there are many UP servers that run day and night without any problems.
I think the last patch will improve it further.

So to summarize sjwww: The 1GB server executable is not stable for you right? And the same for 1.25GB executable.
But many servers do use it along with UKDed3 . It runs like a charm for hours...

Hi, yeah I have just been reconfiguring a few things, seem to have a more stable system now.

I tried the 1.25gb version and had difficulty keeping the system running for more than one map.
The 1gb seems to be stable now, with some rejigging, location of FBDj, getting rid of any old crap and crud that could conflict.

Note I just updated the FBDj1.6 with a new version which handles a few aspects, base capture etc.
We were having an issue when the DS jammed the FBDj went into negative time, so far havent seen this with new version.

One thing which seemed to jam things was shortcutting the preset time, I was beginning to wonder if the memory wasn't letting go of data, timers etc when a map was "DESTROY".  Memory leaks, leaky mods. Although we are avoiding  MOD maps at the moment.

I am going to retry the 1.25gb version, one issue is that the same server runs COD4 and CODWaW so may be getting a little taxed at times so the 1gb version may be all thats possible.

sjww -

We had the same issue with FBDj going into negative numbers with Zuti 0.8 and earlier.  Have not seen the problem lately.  I think it is related to which map you use, seemed any of the stock maps worked fine, but some of the mod maps caused problems.  Maybe a road that ended and a convoy hit the end of it I don't know.  Or a tree in the middle of a RR track.

In short, something within the DS server would lockup and FBDj could not talk to the IL2 console to get it's data.  Hence the FBDj going negative on time.   When this occurs you can verify that IL2 is locked up by going to the console window of IL2 and issuing a command (help, user, etc)  If it does not respond IL2 is locked up.

Please use the 1.2GB version as the 1.25GB seems a bit unstable.

Are these larger memory .exe's still good to use with an RC4 dedicated server?
